How does workplace ostracism hurt employee creativity? Thriving at work as a mediator and organization‐based self‐esteem as a moderator

چکیده
Drawing on the socially embedded model of thriving and conservation resources theory, we explore negative effect workplace ostracism employee thriving. We organization-based self-esteem (OBSE) as a moderator extend our examination to downstream implications for creativity. Using scenario-based experiment (Study 1) with 387 working adults, find that is more likely prevent workers higher levels OBSE from at work. This finding verified in Study 2, which use multiwave, multisource data collected 207 employees their supervisors test proposed model. The results further show OBSE, work mediate relationship between These findings provide important practical fostering promoting creativity by managing ostracism.
